Usage Limits
The Any Audio Network has certain limits in place to ensure fair use and maintain site performance. Here's what you need to know about limits for free accounts.
Audio Upload Limits
File Size:
- Maximum file size: 100 MB per upload
- Supported formats: MP3 and FLAC
Storage:
- Free users: Unlimited uploads
- Each file is stored as-is (FLAC files are converted to MP3 for streaming)
Streaming Limits
Monthly Hours:
- Free users: 10 hours of streaming per month
- Resets on the 1st of each month
Stream Duration:
- Maximum continuous stream: No hard limit
- Streams can run as long as needed within your monthly quota
Concurrent Listeners:
- Maximum listeners per IP: 5
- Rate limit: 50 connection attempts per IP per 10 minutes
Archive Settings:
- Archives are optional when creating a stream
- Archive files count toward storage like regular uploads
Rate Limits
To prevent abuse, the following rate limits apply:
API Requests:
- General rate limiting applies to prevent spam
- Excessive requests may result in temporary blocks
Uploads:
- No specific limit on number of uploads
- Unusually high upload rates may trigger review
Account Limits
Usernames:
- 3-20 characters
- Letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens only
Passwords:
- Minimum 8 characters
- Must be reasonably secure
Increasing Limits

Fair Use
Even within these limits, please use the site reasonably. Automated tools, scripts, or behaviors that put excessive load on the server may result in account suspension regardless of technical limits.
